You forgot-
"And don't eat meat on Fridays and venerate Mary."
The previous comment was brought to you by a smartass.
So, how's that going for you? Lusted today?
And if you gave all your money to the poor, how are you on the Internet?
This is rubbish. Man-centered religion, trying to make itself look good by twisting Bible verses way out of their context.

That's a very good description of Calvinism.
Anyway -- do you have anything of substance and depth to add to the conversation?
Do you really think that this post is the Gospel? Is anything else the Gospel?
How well and consistently do we have to perform the above? And how about answering my questions in the 1st comment?
Why did Christ wander around for three years teaching people to love and pray for their enemies, heal the sick, care for the suffering, console the sorrowing, etc. if all of this is so unimportant and impossible?
1) I don't recall saying it was unimportant.
2) Are you saying that 'ought' implies 'can'? And even if it did, you ought to be perfect - Matthew 5:48. How's that going for you?
3) Along those lines, would you please answer my questions?
Man-centered religion
I agree. (And so does Johnny Cash).
Lvka,
I do look forward to your comments these days. I really mean that. No joke.
Keep up the good work.
John
